The Residential Real Estate Council mourns the passing of Myra Zollinger, CRS, who passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. She was a dedicated leader, mentor and advocate for excellence in real estate. Zollinger served as the 1997 RRC President and was instrumental in shaping the Council’s vision for growth and development.
An associate broker at Coldwell Banker HPW in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Zollinger earned her CRS Designation in 1983 and spent decades guiding others on their journey toward professional excellence. Her passion for mentorship left a lasting impact on those she worked with, inspiring agents to reach new heights in their careers.
Zollinger’s leadership extended across numerous committees and initiatives that strengthened the Council. She served on the Board of Directors and led key committees, including the Designation Committee (1992), Strategic Planning Committee (1995) and Marketing Coordinating Committee (1994). In these roles, she helped to refine and expand RRC’s core programs.
In 2001, Zollinger was honored with the prestigious Medallion Award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the Council. Beyond her official roles, she was known for her unwavering support of her peers, offering guidance, wisdom and encouragement to those who followed in her footsteps.
Her legacy lives on in the strength of the Council and the countless real estate professionals she mentored along the way. Zollinger’s passion, leadership and generosity will not be forgotten.
